Drawing Development

Writer's picture: Gaoge YangGaoge Yang

My drawing focuses on the intersections between the building's major tower and its wavy roof. I seperated and duplicated those two parts and arranged them on the board with rotations and overlays on each other.

Based on the wavy roof, I arrayed several groups of lines to continue its rhythm and extended the pattern both vertically and horizontally as the background. After that, I chose groups of bright colors to hatch the wavy roofs and background to create contrast between nearby lanes.

For the building, I used a set of purple colors and another set of blue colors from bright to dark to show the different sides of it.
